New or CPO? Choosing the Right BMW

September 16th, 2009

Choosing the best generation of BMW for your needs.

MIAMI, FL: BMW as a whole, and specifically its 3 Series, have long been the standard of the performance luxury class. For years now, all its competitors have aspired, and perspired, to match the inherent value and performance in this impressive European offering.

South Motors and BMW’s aggressively generous financing options, its long term, Zero Cost Maintenance Program (BMW Ultimate Service) and its brand-wide focus on continually improving its already lofty performance levels have long since changed the question from “Should I buy a BMW?” to “Which BMW should I buy?”. If looking for the leader in performance luxury, you need look no further than South Motors BMW. From there, it is just a question of which BMW will work best for you.

This video tackles that very question, as it pits a new BMW 128i Coupe, a new BMW 335i and a Certified Pre-Owned 2002 BMW M3 against each other in an attempt to find the best performance among three of the hottest models to hit the market. Though the results prove these three vehicles perform remarkably close to each other, the comfort is in the details: Whether you purchase a pre-owned South Motors BMW or an all-new model, you can be assured you are making a consistent and safe investment.

September 16th, 2009

We pit the Honda Fit vs. Honda Civic Hybrid through an array of road and performance tests

MIAMI, FL: Honda, as a whole, has always been interested in delivering quality, reliability and fuel economy throughout their lineup, and with a slew of multiple, annual “greenest car” and “highest resale” accolades awarded to them, we at South Motors would say they have done just that consistently throughout their history as an automaker. Honda leases and purchases have always been a staple of Miami’s new and used car markets.

But which Honda fuel-sipper should you choose? This video tackles that question directly, with a little family rivalry. We pit the Honda Fit against its older brother the Honda Civic Hybrid in an array of road tests and scrutiny. In the end, both cars are the winner, with the Civic Hybrid winning every MPG test, and the Honda Fit winning the maneuvering and acceleration tests. Inside both, you’ll find all of the reliability and accoutrements you’ve come to expect from the “Greenest Carmaker in the World” – top-of-its-class fuel economy coupled with Honda’s attention to quality and real-world performance.

Watch the video, and then stop in at South Motors Honda for a quick test drive to formulate your own opinion about these two worthy fuel-efficient opponents. We’re confident that you’ll find the match-up as difficult to judge as we did! The Critics Love BMW CPO

The BMW CPO Program Impresses Respected Automotive Journalists

When a Car and Driver editor recently purchased a used BMW CPO vehicle, he was impressed enough to give it a full two-page spread in his magazine. What makes the BMW Certified Pre-Owned program so effective as to be newsworthy? Maybe it’s the sharp scrutiny a vehicle must undergo to become one. Maybe it’s the peace-of-mind generated by the required extensive examination by factory-trained technicians. And maybe it is just our attention to detail.

In order to qualify as a BMW CPO, a late-model BMW must be in service for at least 6 months or have more than 6,000 miles or less than 60,000 on the odometer. Then, it must survive a more than 100-point inspection. If some element does make the high standard, it gets fixed. If it can’t be fixed, it cannot be a CPO vehicle. When considering a BMW Certification, ask to see the Vehicle Inspection Checklist. That is your assurance that the vehicle meets both yours and our expectations. And its this pursuit of quality that makes South BMW such a respected brand in South Florida, and makes even the Car and Driver editors impressed enough to write about it.
